In particular, cold shabu is often made with pork, but it's really delicious when made with Kobe beef. The ingredients that go with both cold shabu and grilled shabu are very simple.

Ingredients (for 4 people)

      [Cold shabu]
    • Kobe beef shabu-shabu meat 400g
    • 1-2 onion slices
    • Dashi kelp, ponzu sauce, condiments (grated radish, green onion)

    [Yakishabu]
  • Kobe beef shabu-shabu meat 400g
  • Your favorite vegetables such as cabbage, onions, carrots, shiitake mushrooms, etc.
  • Dashi kelp, ponzu sauce, condiments (grated radish, green onion)
  • Wagyu beef tallow ( even if the meat is not Japanese beef, just using Wagyu beef tallow will improve the taste )

How to make cold shabu/grilled shabu (Tacchan style)

Soak the onion slices in water and squeeze them out using a cloth.

Heat the kelp stock and bring it to a boil, then dip the meat in it and let it cool.

Place the meat on the onion slices and enjoy with ponzu sauce or your favorite dressing.

Place the meat on top of your favorite salad and your ``cold shabu salad'' is ready! Enjoy with your favorite dressing.

I simply introduced onion slices, but you can also eat a lot of vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, carrots, mushrooms, etc. by boiling them in kelp soup stock! Recommended even when you have no appetite! !

Just add beef tallow to a hot griddle or frying pan (or even a hot plate) and grill each piece.

It's better to grill the meat first (it doesn't have to be all of it), so the flavor of the meat gets mixed with the vegetables and fat, making it delicious!

What is “yakishabu”? Some people may think so, but it's just regular teppanyaki (yakiniku), thinly sliced ​​meat for shabu-shabu or sukiyaki, and eaten with ponzu sauce.
It's easy to eat with ponzu sauce, so it's recommended when you think yakiniku is a little heavy! The nice aroma of beef tallow will whet your appetite. Please try it once!
